As the eldest of 13 children Ive encountered circumstances that were out of my control which caused me to be put in the position to be the guardian for my younger siblings at an early age. Raising and caring for them was a duty that I embraced with gusto, love and determination.

Im grandmother of a handsome grandson and mother of two college educated daughters that I sacrificed the pleasures of my youth in order for them to have an increased chance of success. I have worked at the P.A.L (Police Athletic league) I also was a head teacher at CITIZENS DAYCARE and volunteered at other community organizations.

With a love of children that is unparalleled coupled with an uncanny ability to communicate with them at all levels of development, cultivated in me a desire to become a licensed Childcare provider. And as a Small Business Owner, I have spearheaded a successful run of ten years and counting of offering a loving, caring and healthy environment of childcare through my “Loving Your Family Daycare center.

 

 

My name is Shalik Potter and I am an assistant childcare provider / cook for LOVING YOUR FAMILY DAYCARE for 10 years.The love I have for children shows in my experience. Not only do I have two children of my own, But i am required by the state to obtain 30 hours a year of state University of New York early childhood education Training. Ive also worked per diem as a teachers aide off an on for many years with the board of education. I really enjoy being able to be apart of the growth and development of our children, by providing a loving and nuturing environment. I am also a chef and i enjoy creating healthy, fun looking, colorful and tasty dishes to promote heathy eating. It’s a great opportunity to be apart of the creation of shaping and molding our generations to come. It’s a pleasure to work with Loving Your Family Group Daycare and i look forward to being apart of the growth of this company.

 

 

My name is Iesha Lewis  I’m 28 years old ,and I currently work as a on site provider at loving your family daycare.
I have been working at loving you family day care since I was 19 years old. I am one of thirteen children , yes I have 12 siblings. I also have a child of my own a little girl her name is heaven, and I just adore her. I have always loved children, and cared for their well being. I grew up in foster care and I know how hard it is to find a genuine care giver for children, so from an early age I found myself having dreams of being a caregiver for children and this dream has become a reality and i am proud of what i do. I believe all children have the right to a safe, loving and educational environment. I also do face painting and balloon animals on the side of being a child care provider, children entertainment is a passion for me and I only want to grow in this field while helping children with their growth. each child is like an amazing puzzle and I have the pleasure to help put them together.I don’t think I could have not asked for a better job.
